The International Council for Small Business (ICSB) was founded in 1955, The International Council for Small Business (ICSB) was the first international membership-based non-government organization (NGO) formed to promote the growth and development of small businesses and entrepreneurs. After 50 years, ICSB continues to be the leading global membership organization in this field.

ICSB Mission Statement: ICSB is the professional body for all individuals and organizations promoting entrepreneurship and the development and management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in all parts of the world.
Members: The global network of ICSB members includes four key constituent groups: Researchers, Policymakers, Educators, and Business service providers. These four groups work together, sharing ideas, knowledge and experience with the ultimate goal of improving the international business community.
Country Affiliates and Chapters: The backbone of ICSB is its affiliates and chapters, representing about 2,500 members over 70 countries throughout the world.
